Are you feeling overwhelmed by the constant need to create new content? You're not alone! We've only just welcomed October, but it's already time to start planning your content for November if you haven't already. Coming up with fresh ideas every month can be challenging, but I'm here to help.

One popular way to keep your content fresh and relevant is by incorporating national days, trending topics, and local events. I've put together some November ideas below to help you get started. This list isn't exhaustive, but it should give you some inspiration for your blog, social media, and other campaigns, saving you hours of research.

Start by choosing events relevant to your audience and building your November content plan from there. Remember to also include content related to your specific business, such as your own events, local activities that your customers might be interested in, or any special offers and promotions you're running.

November Themes

As the memories of summer fade further and November approaches, people's habits continue to evolve with increasingly shorter days and longer nights. It's important to consider these changes and common themes, and incorporate them into your content plan where possible:

  • Autumn/Winter - As the days get shorter, people tend to spend more time indoors, enjoying hearty food, good books, and films. However, people also take advantage of opportunities to wrap up warm and explore the great outdoors to appreciate the last beautiful autumn leaves.

  • Family and Friends - Whether or not you celebrate Thanksgiving, November is a month for spending quality time with family and friends. With December increasingly busy with Christmas activities, special moments with loved ones, work gatherings, and meetups with friends, events can often spill over into November to accommodate everything!

  • Baking - November often sees a greater focus on baking, as people spend more time indoors and with the return of The Great British Bake Off to our TV screens. Do you have any recipes your business could share with your customers?

  • Christmas - People are beginning to think more about winter and more specifically Christmas. This includes buying presents, planning get-togethers, purchasing decorations and shopping for warm winter clothes.
