My eBusiness & Interactive Marketing Placement at Xerox‘s European Headquarters

A year ago, I was that nervous student, starting a ‘proper’ job, in a huge organisation, where I got lost finding my way to the toilets, and felt I knew nothing. I’ve now handed over the reins and can leave feeling more confident and knowledgeable. I can’t believe how fast this year has gone, and am not quite sure what to do with all my time now, but I can look back and remember all the great memories I have.

I would 100% recommend a placement year to anyone. I have not only learnt more about my degree subject, but I have been able to discover myself and reflect on my work to find out what I would like to do in the future. I have learnt a number of skills which you can’t learn by reading a book, and have even found learning fun! I am now looking towards my final year in an entirely different frame of mind, with a willingness to learn more and clear goals to work towards.

I have had a great year, and learnt more than I could ever imagine. I have been involved in a number of exciting projects and everyone I met or talked to along the way were so kind and helpful. It’s only once you leave, that you realise how much the help and support from everyone in the office means, especially the laughs and banter, which gets you through each day with a huge smile.

I wish the best of luck to everyone in the future, and thank you all for such an amazing and unforgettable experience.
